Newey will not retire

Adrian Newey (65 years old), the design genius who will leave Red Bull in 2025, revealed that he is not ready to retire yet, but rather hinted that he wants to start again with a new team.

Newey is heading to leave the ranks of Red Bull after a successful period of nearly two decades with the Austrian brand. He has designed cars that have given Sebastian Vettel 4 titles and Max Verstappen 3 titles so far, amid his steady march towards a fourth title as well.

But amid the conflicts within the ranks of his current team, and the power struggles between them, Newey decided to leave the team and move his focus towards completing the Red Bull RB17 car project, which will appear publicly at the English Goodwood Speed Show.

Rumors have recently appeared on the scene linking Newey with Ferrari, ahead of the start of the new engine era in 2026, with speculation of a deal that would allow him to join the Italian team directly.

During his speech on the sidelines of the Monaco Grand Prix, Newey confirmed that he is not finished with Formula One yet.
