The Lebanese swimming team concluded its participation in the 6th Arab Championship, hosted by the UAE capital, Abu Dhabi, with the participation of 16 countries, by coming in first place for women and fourth place for men. On the last day of the competition, Lebanon continued its medal collection, winning 8 colored medals (3 gold, 4 silver, and 1 bronze), while breaking 3 local records as follows: - Simon Doueihy: First place in the 100m freestyle, recording 50.52 seconds. - Lynn Hajj: First place in the 200m breaststroke, recording 2:35.75 minutes (a new record, the previous record was 2:36.50 minutes for the same swimmer). - Simon Kabbara: Third place in the 200m breaststroke, recording 2:43.04 minutes. - Talin Murad: Second place in the 100m backstroke, recording 1:06.20 minutes (a new record, the previous record was 1:06.81 minutes for the same swimmer). - Ahmed Safia: Second place in the 100m backstroke, recording 2:06. 57.27 seconds (a new record, the previous record was 57.56 seconds). - Lana Hegazy: Second place in the 400m freestyle race, 4:33.26 minutes. - Women’s 400m freestyle relay: First place for the team consisting of Mary Khoury, Simone Kabbara, Lynn Hajj and Lana Hegazy, with a time of 4:04.27 minutes.
- Men's 400m freestyle relay: Second place went to the team consisting of Alexander Younes, Ahmed Safia, Farid Zidane, and Simon Al-Duwaihi, with a time of 3:32:57. The women's team came in first place in the overall women's classification, and the men's team came in fourth place.
