The Lebanese University Sports Federation revives university activity by holding the Lebanese Cup.

The Lebanese University Sports Federation has revitalized university sports venues and halls by launching the Lebanese University Cup competitions, with wide participation from various Lebanese universities. This step confirms the continuation of university sports despite the challenges and circumstances the country is going through, which had previously disrupted competitions. Saint Joseph University (USJ) won the women's futsal title, defeating the Lebanese American University (LAU) 4-1 in the final. USJ also won the men's and women's badminton titles and the men's handball title, defeating LAU 32-22. In addition, the women's USJ secured first place in padel, tennis, table tennis, and chess. USJ also topped the women's taekwondo competitions with 28 points. LAU achieved a double victory in basketball, with both its men's and women's teams winning titles. The university added the women's handball title, defeating the American University of Beirut 21-14 in the final, in addition to winning first place in padel, men's tennis, and women's Muay Thai, as well as reaching several finals in various other sports. Simultaneously, Holy Spirit University of Kaslik won the men's volleyball title, while Antonine University claimed the men's football title after defeating the Lebanese American University 4-3 in a penalty shootout, following a 1-1 draw in the final. It also secured first place in men's taekwondo after accumulating 22 points, ahead of Saint Joseph University, which came in second with 16 points. Beirut Arab University succeeded in winning two titles by taking first place in men's table tennis and chess, while the Lebanese International University won first place in men's Muay Thai. The cup competitions continue with the remaining sports until the end of this week, before some university teams travel to the world championships organized by the International Federation this summer, most notably futsal in Poland, handball in France, padel in Spain, and Muay Thai in Brazil.
