Beach team to the World Championship

The Lebanese U-21 beach volleyball team, consisting of players Omar Abi Karam and Hadi Shabib, accompanied by Colombian coach Farid Moussa, departed via Rafic Hariri International Airport for Doha (Qatar) to participate in a three-day training camp that includes intensive morning training every day and friendly matches in the evening. This camp was called upon by the President of the Qatari Federation and President of the West Federation, Ali Ghanem Al Kuwari. The team will then leave Doha at dawn on Sunday for Thailand to participate in the U-21 World Championship finals, which starts from Monday, November 8, to Thursday, November 12, in Mueang City, the capital of Pathum Province, west of the capital, Bangkok. The Lebanese team finished fourth in the Asian Championship, which was held five months ago in Thailand as well, to qualify for the World Championship finals for the Asian continent, along with the teams of Australia, China, Iran, Kazakhstan, and two teams from the host country, in which 32 teams are participating. The team is accompanied by Mark Abi Karam administratively. On another note, the President of the Lebanese Volleyball Federation, Walid Al-Qassouf, sent a message of thanks to his Qatari counterpart for generously hosting the Lebanese delegation, wishing them all the best and considering that Lebanon's arrival, for the first time as a Lebanese team, to the World Championship finals is an achievement in itself. He expressed his optimism that the Cedars of the Nation team would achieve an advanced position in the championship.
