In details, Lebanon participated in the World Championship among 32 teams from all over the world. It represented the Asian and Oceanian continents, along with Australia, China, Kazakhstan, Iran and Thailand. Lebanon was the only country from the West Asian region. The Lebanese flag was raised among the 32 participating countries. In the group results, Lebanon won against Kazakhstan in two sets to nothing (21/11 and 21/11) and lost in two sets to nothing to Sweden (17/21 and 16/21) and Brazil (16/21 and 21/23). Before their participation in the World Championship, the two Lebanese players underwent a three-day training camp at the invitation of the President of the Qatari and West Asian Federations, Ali Ghanem Al-Kuwari, as evidence of the special relationship between Al-Kuwari and the President of the Lebanese Federation and member of the West Asian Federation, Walid Al-Qassouf.
