Al-Burj Ain Toura Club elects a new administrative committee for a new term and continues its ambitious sports career

A new administrative committee for Al-Burj Club (Aintoura), affiliated with Mar Yousef Institute (Aintoura), was elected by acclamation for a four-year term during the legally mandated general assembly held at the club's headquarters within the institute. The meeting included the election of Father Abdo Eid as president, Rabih Raidy as vice president, Antoine Chediac as secretary, and Father Medhat Jaras as treasurer. The committee also includes several advisors: Jalal Baayno, Pascal Ghanem, Chloe Abou Chabke, René Freiji, Joel Nehme, Karl Sfeir, Andre Rostom, Imad Khazen, and Andrew Mikhail.

In a speech delivered after the distribution of positions, Father Eid congratulated the winners and thanked the previous administrative committee for its tireless efforts and activity over the past years. He expressed his hope that the new committee would continue to strengthen and develop the club's sporting activities, in keeping with the club's long-standing sporting legacy.

The new administrative committee also received legal authorization from the acting Director General of the Ministry of Youth and Sports, Dr. Fadi Hallal, on Thursday, October 31, to continue its work with an official mandate.

Al-Burj Club (Aintoura) is one of the leading clubs in Lebanon in several sports, including basketball, judo, taekwondo, fencing, table tennis, and badminton. Since its founding in the last century, the club has been renowned for its basketball program and has achieved numerous successes at the school level, particularly due to its association with the prestigious Mar Yousef Institute (Aintoura). In recent years, the club has distinguished itself in fencing, with its male and female players winning local and international titles.

Father Abdo Eid, the president of the club and the institute, continues to oversee the sports activities, while the new administrative committee brings together veteran members and the ambitious young generation of institute graduates, with the aim of achieving a future vision that ensures the club’s continuation as one of the most prominent active Lebanese sports institutions.
