Sherry wins bronze in women's table tennis at the Arab Games

Promising Lebanese player Bissan Chiri (14 years old) won the bronze medal at the Arab Women's Table Tennis Championship hosted by Sharjah, UAE. Bissan achieved remarkable results, defeating the Palestinian champion (3-0) and the Kuwaiti champion (3-0), before losing to the Egyptian under-18 champion (3-1). She then triumphed over the Emirati champion (3-2) in the quarterfinals. In the semifinals, she lost (3-1) to Farah Abdel Aziz, the Egyptian, African, and Arab champion in table tennis, who has participated in two Olympic Games, after a hard-fought match.
