Beirut Football Academy in Sweden with the largest delegation and remarkable results

Beirut Football Academy (BFA) renewed its partnership, which began in 2007, with the Gothia Cup, one of the world's most prestigious youth tournaments, featuring hundreds of talented players of all ages. The renowned Lebanese academy, known for developing young talent, participated with its largest delegation ever in the tournament, held annually in Sweden. The delegation comprised 85 people, including players, coaches, and administrators. BFA entered the tournament with seven teams: two for players born in 2013, and one each for players born in 2007, 2008, 2009, 2011, and 2012. The BFA delegation made a notable appearance at the opening ceremony, which included 1,911 teams from 74 countries, by displaying a large banner that read: "Football for Peace." This gesture was praised by the academy's president, Ziad Saadeh, who stated that his players "are part of the nation, carrying its flag, and thus they have reaffirmed their commitment to peace." Their connection to it, and their endeavor to meet with the principles of sportsmanship by raising the slogan of demanding peace.” Beirut Football Academy has achieved a distinguished start in the tournament, with 5 of its teams qualifying for the first category (Class A), after they were present in the top positions of the groups that qualified for the final rounds.
