Al-Najma Club signed Kenyan national team midfielder Austin Odhiambo Otieno (24 years old) as a replacement for Greek player Marios Aguiu, during the winter transfer window, which will remain open until the 20th of this month. Otieno's transfer deal is considered the highest so far in the Lebanese Football League. He previously played for Gor Mahia last season and won the award for best player in the Kenyan Premier League (2023-2024).

His first appearance with the senior national team was last year in the Africa Cup of Nations, although he had previously played for the youth and Olympic teams. At the end of the first leg of the Lebanese Football League, Al-Najma occupies second place behind league leaders Al-Ansar.
