Lebanese referee Hassan Abdel Rabbo capped his Asian Beach Games career by officiating the football final, which saw Iran defeat Oman 6-2. In addition to the final, Abdel Rabbo officiated several other matches in the tournament, part of the current edition of the Asian Games held in Sanya, China. Iran won the title for the third time in its history, while its players Mohammad Masoumi Zadeh and Movahed Mohammadpour shared the top scorer award with six goals each. Saudi Arabia secured the bronze medal, defeating Palestine 6-4 in the third-place match.
