الرئيس جوزاف عون يستقبل منتخب لبنان الأولمبي

President Joseph Aoun received at the Presidential Palace the President of the Lebanese Football Federation, Hashem Haidar, and the Secretary General of the Federation, Jihad Al-Shahaf, along with the players of the Lebanese Olympic team (under 23 years old), after they achieved a historic accomplishment by qualifying for the first time for the Asian Cup finals.

President Joseph Aoun congratulated the players and coaching staff on this achievement, praising the spirit of determination and perseverance that characterized the team throughout its journey, and stressing that what was achieved constitutes a glimmer of hope that reflects the image of ambitious Lebanese youth on the continental stage.

For its part, the Lebanese Football Federation presented the national team jersey to the President of the Republic as a token of appreciation and affection, in a symbolic gesture that affirms the unity of the football family behind the national team in its upcoming challenge.
