Dr. Tony Nassar, President of the Swimming Federation

Dr. Tony Nassar was elected unopposed as president of the Lebanese Swimming Federation for a third term during the general assembly elections held at the Mont La Salle Club. Representatives from the Ministry of Youth and Sports and delegates from 17 of the 23 eligible clubs were present. The session began with a presentation of the federation's achievements between 2020 and 2024, during which Nassar praised the local and international successes and thanked the media.

The minutes of the previous meeting and the administrative and financial reports were unanimously approved, in addition to the adoption of the 2025 activity calendar and the anticipated budget. The electoral assembly was chaired by Samir Shaghouri, who announced the withdrawal of five candidates out of the original fifteen, with the remaining ten candidates winning by acclamation.

In the session for distributing positions, the distribution came as follows: Dr. Tony Nassar as President, Roula Al-Natour Al-Khatib as Vice President for Swimming, George Yazbek as Vice President for Water Polo, Adel Yamout as Vice President for Open Water Swimming, Walid Kanaan as Secretary General, Ahmed Zaarour as Treasurer, Khaled Sablouh as Accountant, George Habayeb, Walid Karam, and Jad Lotfi as Advisors.
