In a move reflecting the depth of cooperation between regional federations, the President of the West Asian Federation and President of the Qatar Volleyball Federation, Ali Ghanem Al-Kuwari, and the President of the Lebanese Federation and member of the West Asian Federation, Walid Al-Qassouf, signed an agreement for Lebanon to host the West Asian Beach Volleyball Championship for men and women, which will be held in the coastal city of Batroun between September 7 and 11.
The signing ceremony took place at the San Stefano resort in Batroun, in the presence of Vice President Asaad Nakhle, Secretary General Assaf Mehanna, and a number of members of the Lebanese Federation.
During the event, Al-Qasouf expressed his deep appreciation for Al-Kuwari's leading role in developing the sport in the region, praising his contributions to the Lebanese Federation and emphasizing the strong friendship between the two parties. For his part, Al-Kuwari commended the Lebanese Federation's organizational capabilities and the role of its members in advancing Lebanese volleyball, describing the Federation as "an active and dynamic member of the West Asian Federation."
At the end of the ceremony, Al-Kuwari presented a commemorative shield to Al-Qasouf as a token of love and appreciation, followed by a banquet hosted by Secretary-General Muhanna in honor of the Qatari guest.
It is worth noting that Al-Kuwari’s visit to Lebanon comes at the official invitation of Al-Qasouf, and will last for several days.
