British press reports confirmed that Chelsea FC has entered into advanced talks with Italian Leicester City coach Enzo Maresca to take over the position of coach at Stamford Bridge.
Maresca was assistant to Spanish coach Pep Guardiola, coach of Manchester City, until last summer, before he returned Leicester City to the English Premier League, only 12 months after their relegation.
It seems that the Chelsea management found what it needed in Marisca to succeed Argentine coach Mauricio Pochettino, who left his position a few days ago.
According to one of these reports, Chelsea has requested permission to negotiate with Maresca, amid expectations that Leicester City will demand financial compensation amounting to ten million pounds to dispense with its Italian coach.
