France striker Kylian Mbappe wore a special protective mask during training ahead of the team's second match against the Netherlands, while suffering from a broken nose.
After some difficulty in putting it on, Mbappe appeared wearing the mask bearing the colors of the French flag, with his initials on one side and his shirt number, surrounded by two stars representing France's World Cup titles and the national rooster logo.
Mbappe was injured in a clash with Kevin Danso during France's 1-0 win over Austria on Monday, which threatened his continued participation in the tournament, but Didier Deschamps, the team's coach, confirmed that he is recovering well and will face the Netherlands in tomorrow's match in Group D.
