Tuchel leaves in the summer and three names are on the table

Bayern Munich announced the departure of coach Thomas Tuchel at the end of the current season, due to the Bavarian team's recent decline in performance and results, and the diminishing chances of retaining the German league title.
Tuchel took over the Bavarian giants at the end of March 2023, after a period spent at Chelsea (2021-2022) and previously at Paris Saint-Germain (2018-2020), replacing Julian Nagelsmann, who was suddenly dismissed.
He signed a contract until June 30, 2025, but the contract will be shortened to end on June 30, 2024, according to Bayern's announcement.
The Bavarian team has entered an unprecedented technical crisis in years, suffering three consecutive defeats, including a 1-0 defeat to Lazio in the first leg of the Champions League Round of 16, and another to Bayer Leverkusen in the league by a heavy 3-0 scoreline. Their wounds were then deepened by a painful 3-2 loss to Bochum last weekend, leaving them eight points behind leaders Leverkusen with 12 rounds remaining in the league.
Meanwhile, Bayern Munich's management announced that it is considering appointing Ole Gunnar Solskjaer as interim coach if Thomas Tuchel decides to leave before the summer.
Among the names being considered for the Bayern Munich job, Xabi Alonso appears to be a strong contender against Jose Mourinho, with Solskjaer likely to remain in charge.
