Pentado embraces gold in Paris

Ecuadorian Brian Pintado, runner-up in the 35km world walk, won the 20km walk gold medal at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, achieving the first athletics medal in this session.

With a time of 1:18.55, Pintado outpaced his promising rivals, with Brazilian world runner-up Caio Bomfim taking silver in 1:19.09, while Spain's world champion Alvaro Martin took home bronze in 1:19.11.
