Alcazar wins sportsmanship award

Spain's Carlos Alcaraz, ranked second in the world, won the Sportsmanship Award given annually by the Men's Tennis Association, which recognizes fair play, professionalism and integrity on and off the court. Alcaraz, 20 years old, was voted by his teammates to win this award, which bears the name of Stefan Edberg, Which was won in the past by Roger Federer (3 times) and Rafael Nadal (5 times). Alcázar succeeded the Norwegian Casper Ruud, and he is the fourth Spaniard to win it after Jose Higueras in 1983 and Alex Corretja in 1996 and 1998, in addition to Nadal.
