Eva Lies reveals the hidden

German tennis player Eva Lies revealed that she suffers from spondyloarthritis, which caused her to miss a number of tournaments recently.

The player, ranked 146th in the world, said on her Instagram account that she decided to announce her illness in response to receiving many messages in recent months inquiring about her physical condition and her absence from more than one tournament.

She indicated that in 2020, her illness was diagnosed, and that she faced physical challenges that she worked to overcome through the support of her medical team. This challenge made her more determined to continue performing at her best level.

Laes (22 years old) was born in Kiev, and has previously won three titles at the second-tier level of the International Tennis Federation, and represented the German national team in the Billie Jean King Cup.
